San Carlos
San Carlos de Peralta is a traditional population center and parish that depends on the municipality of Santa Eulalia on the island of Ibiza. It is the northernmost town in the municipality.
San Carlos, or Sant Carles in Catalan, gained renown as a hippy village during the 60s and 70s, attracting a community of long-haired peace enthusiasts who embraced the serene surroundings of this northern Ibiza locale. Settling into old farmhouses, referred to as 'fincas,' many chose a lifestyle devoid of modern amenities, often living without electricity or running water.
